Higgins inTune is formulated as a complete and balanced food to be fed free-choice to your pet birds. Birds can consume as much as 20% of their body weight per day, so be sure your bird receives plenty of Higgins inTune, provided freshly every day. If wetted, be sure to remove uneaten foods daily, especially when it becomes dry and hard. Always maintain fresh drinking water for your pet bird. No supplements are necessary and are not recommended. If fruits, nuts or other foods are provided, make sure Higgins inTune is at least 90% of the overall diet by weight. This will help ensure your pet bird receives the vitamins, minerals and other nutrients necessary for overall health and wellbeing.
While introducing a new food to your pet friend, gradually mix new food with your pet’s old diet. Increase the amount of food over a period of 7 to 10 days. This will allow your pet to adjust to the new food and it will prevent any upset to your pet’s digestive system.
